SMS Literacy 10/05

UniSA News, October 2005 - - A UniSA study has found Short Message Services (SMS) place a different kind of literacy in the hands of individuals, defying classroom rules in favour of a unique, culturally created language.

says researcher, Collette Snowden from UniSA's School of Communication, Information and New Media.
